Shree Tulja bhavani Sainiki Vidyalaya

This school, the first among the series of sainiki schools established in the Maharashtra, was inaugurated in the historic city of Tuljapur on 15th August 1996 by Manikrao Khapale, the then member of the legislative assembly. The school is administered by Shree Tulabhavani Mandir Trustee under the chairmanship of Collector of Osmanabad dist.

The aim is to develop allround personality of the student and prepare him for competitive examinations after XII std.(NDA) only 40 students are admitted on the basis of merit in the V. Test is generally held in May each year at Tuljapur. The main admission is to class V. Depending on the number of vacancies, successful candidates in the Entrance Examination are given admission to this school strictly in the order of merit and subject to their medical fitness test. The Head master, can in the interest of the school, without assigning any reason, issue an order for removal of the student on disciplinary grounds.

The school is affliated to the State Board Of Maharashtra, Pune. The day starts at 5.00 a.m.  Students spend 2 hours a day on outdoor activities including games, 2 hours on self study, 1 hour on homework and 5 hours of schooling. Enough time is provided for relaxation and entertainment.

Being a Sainiki School, stress is laid on proficiency in games and physical fitness. To develop all round personality of the individual student, they are exposed to follow activities during their stay in the school, outdoor activities- drill, PT,   yogabhyas, map reading, rock climbing, karate and judo, etc. Indoor activities-music, painting, debating, dramatics, group discussions, interview techniques, I.G.test etc. Tournaments are organised in all games. The cadets participate in inter school, inter district, inter region and national competitions.

The school has a well equipped library containing books in Marathi, Hindi and English on various subjects suited for different ages. Number of newspapers, magazines and periodicals in English and Marathi are also substituted for.

In short the school is vastly different from other schools. There is emphasis on 3 hours regular study everyday. A large number of subjects are taught. Physically the are trained as he develops courage, team spirit, and leadership qualities.
